The days in the large and mixed-age community were combined with a lively discussion among each other. There are presently 29 sisters living in Vrhovec. We were warmly welcomed by the sisters.
In 1927, the Province bought the house in Zagreb on Vrhovec. The new house and chapel were blessed by Archbishop Antun Bauer of Zagreb in 1930.
Since 1970, the sisters have been looking after the children whilst their parents work. Later, a kindergarten was founded, which is still successfully run by our sisters using the Montessori educational method.
The sisters are involved in various apostolates and activities: school, parish, work with young people, bear witness to their own vocation in the parishes, Caritas of the Archdiocese of Zagreb, and also take part in radio and television programmes.
The sisters are open to the needs of people.
