A few impressions from the Congress

Two busy days followed the beginning of the Congress. The topics on the agenda were addressed in a process-oriented manner, both in various group sessions and in the plenary.

After two busy days, a celebration was held on Saturday 29 August with the Sisters and the residents of Hegne. In the early part of the evening, Sr Susanne Bader, Provincial Superior, and Sr Marie-Marthe welcomed everyone present. Mayor Stefan Friedrich then expressed his delight in a short speech. Refreshments were provided by the Hegne fanfare band and the Hegne carnival society. Musical entertainment was provided by the Allensbach Music Society.

On Sunday 30 August, the congress participants were given the choice to select the place to go for an excursion. Around 30 sisters set out to follow in the footsteps of Sr Ulrika. A second group of sisters travelled to Mainau. Seven sisters took the boat from Radolfzell to the island of Reichenau, where they were given a short guided tour of the cathedral.

After having a successful Sunday for everyone, the congress participants are now ready for further intensive sessions.
