WHAT WE DO
Through our charism we share in the mission of the Church. We try to make it possible for God’s Kingdom where all persons are brothers and sisters, to grow.
The human person is at the center of all our efforts. So we do not consider age, nationality, gender, faith, religion or social status.
According to our mission, we engage ourselves particularly in the following areas:
- Social Work and Health Care
- Schools, Education at all Levels
- Parish Work, Spiritual Care and Proclamation of the Gospel
For many elderly and sick sisters, the prayer of intercession for the Church and the world is an important contribution to the mission of the community.
The way we put our mission into practice differs according to time, place and social environment. The social conditions for our service keep changing. We listen to the needs of the people and allow ourselves to be touched by their questions and problems. The motto of our founder: «The need of the time is the will of God » is still pertinent to us.
We choose our ministries according to our Option for the Poor. By this we understand ministries with the marginalized, with minorities, oppressed, less privileged persons.
We minister in our own sponsored activities. This creates especially good conditions for us to put our basic values into practice. In this sense, our sponsored activities are real alternatives to other establishments.
We are also open to being employed by other groups. This enlarges the possibilities of our sphere of activities, increases the diversity of our services to the people and keeps us aware of the changing problems in our society.
The variety of our apostolates requires a good collaboration between sisters, coworkers, supporting associations, ecclesial and state authorities.
We look for networking and aim at collaboration with people and organizations working for the same purpose.
In all of our planning and activities, we live trusting in God’s spirit and guidance.
