The sisters came to Porat on the island of Krk in 1949 at the request of the brothers of the Third Order.
The house, where the community now lives with five sisters, has long been a popular holiday home in the summer months due to its beautiful and favourable location. The sisters look after the well-being of their holiday guests and are well-loved by the people on the island
Bethany House on the island of Veli Lošinj is today a spiritual centre for all people seeking peace and quiet or physical and spiritual renewal on the island of Lošinj. Since 2018, the sisters have been providing accommodation and catering in the house as well as spiritual input and talks.
There are currently four sisters living in the community, all of whom are actively involved in this apostolate with great vigour and joy.
This house was purchased on 30 May 1906 as the first home property owned by the still young Province.
