After an adventurous journey on 18/19.10.2023 by car, plane and night train, Sr. Marie-Marthe and Sr. Roseline crossed the border to Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. After passing the necessary domestic visa tests, we were given breakfast and lunch by the newly installed Bishop of Itanagar, Bishop Benny Varghese Edathattel. Then, we continued towards Koloriang. After 09 hours journey, we happily reached our sisters in Koloriang – an arduous journey due to the rain and road conditions.
Our three sisters gave us a warm welcome and we immediately felt at home. Two sisters work in the primary school run by the Holy Cross Fathers. One sister is involved in social and pastoral work. The work of the sisters is very much appreciated by the local population. We were warmly welcomed everywhere. The students of the primary school entertained us with a programme that depicted the rich culture of this region. We were deeply impressed by the mission in Koloriang.
