Visitation in Kenia

Visitation in Osia
The developments in Osia is worth mentioning. On 6 March Sr. Marija inaugurated the newly constructed hostel for girls. Thereafter the hostel was blessed and the Holy Eucharist was celebrated. The community of six sisters and one candidate are engaged in different apostolates like Education, Healing ministry, Social work, parish activities and caring for the children in the hostel. The sisters are from different nationalities, tribes, languages and culture. Indeed, a rich variety! The presence of the sisters is very important in this village, where many people are poor due to adverse climatic conditions. Self Help programmes of social work has helped the villagers to be self-sufficient to some extent.

Bulimbo community in Kenya
At the outset of the General Visitation in Bulimbo community in Kenya  which started in 2015 the  foundation stones for Nursery school and convent were laid in our newly bought land. At present 4 sisters and two candidates stay in a temporary house given by the parish putting up with all the inconveniences. They look forward to the construction of the convent. There are around 60 children from the age of 3 to 8 studying from Baby class to Primary 2 . The sisters take care of them in an old parish church which is made into class rooms. The sisters are also engaged in pastoral work specially visiting the families and praying for them. The Christian community is very keen on the wellbeing of the sisters.
