The first visitation of the Province India East will take place from 16 October to 10 November 2023. Sr. Marie-Marthe Schönenberger, Superior General and the General Councilors : Sr. Roseline Kujur, Sr. Pratima Minj, Sr. Sheeja Kolacherril and Sr. Dorothee Halbach will conduct the visitation in 20 communities. Their trip will begin first from Zurich via Delhi to Siliguri, the Provincial House of India East Province. They will visit the sisters in four states: West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Sikkim.
Due to the great distances between the individual communities, the Province went through a process and after intensive consultations, the India North East Province was divided into the India East and India North East Provinces in 2019. This is the youngest province among all the five provinces of India.
