Visitation in Central Province, India

In this Jubilee year of Mercy declared by Pope Francis, takes place the General Visitation in Central Province, India with the theme, “Give expression to the tender mercy of God”. From 20 October to 24 November Sr. Marija Brizar, Sr. Elsit Ampattu, Sr. Lucila Zovak, Sr. Sheeja Kolacherril and Sr. Dorothee Halbach will visit different parts of the Province.
While spending time in spiritual renewal in the communities by way of sharing, discussing and reflecting on the theme of the visitation, it is also an opportunity for the General Team to be with the sisters in the places where they live and carry out the Charism of our congregation.
In the Province there are 262 sisters engaged in different ministries in 39 communities spread over in 6 states of India namely Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh and Kerala. Through their ministries sisters serve the people and journey with them in the field of education, of health care, of social and pastoral work.
During the weeks of the visitation the sisters of the General Team will have the chance to meet the sisters and the people whom they serve.
The visitation comes to an end almost around the time of closing of the Jubilee year of Mercy
