Concagno is a small village near the Swiss border, close to Mendrisio. Since August 2025, Sr Adele Mattioni has been living there on her own, as her fellow sister has returned to the provincial house in Besozzo due to her age. There is a great sense of warmth in the parish: the people greatly appreciate Sr Adele’s presence and hope that she will remain there for a long time to come.
Sr Adele teaches mathematics, science and robotics at the secondary school. She is also involved in catechesis within the parish and serves as a coordinator in the deanery. At diocesan level, she is active in family ministry and acts as a spiritual director for a team from the Notre-Dame Movement.
