The sisters came to Vinkovci in 1895 and took care of the patients in the hospital in Vinkovci. With the arrival of the communist regime, the sisters were dismissed from the hospital on New Year’s Day 1949. They lived temporarily in the home of our sister Celija, from where they dedicated themselves to private nursing and manual labour in order to support themselves. In 1960, a house was bought in Gundulićeva Street, from where the sisters carried out pastoral work in parishes, schools, nursing homes and prisons. The community in Vinkovci is becoming a centre from which the religion teachers travel to various places and work in schools and parishes.
There are currently three sisters in the community who are involved in pastoral work in parishes and schools.
Occasionally, the sisters organize meetings and adoration in our house with various groups of children, young people and adults.
