From 18th to 26th September 2017 coordinators of our various provinces and vicariates engaged in the apostolate of fighting against trafficking in human beings are gathered in the Motherhouse, together with the regular working group appointed for the study of these problems.
The topic of the conference is: “To stand up for human dignity”. There are 29 participants, hailing from eleven different countries and four continents.
Ever since the general Chapter 2008 the shocking reality of trafficking in human beings, especially women, has become an important issue in our congregation. In our various provinces and vicariates there are sisters appointed to keep alive the concern for these problems and, as far as possible, take part in existing projects or start own initiatives.
The aim of the present meeting is: to get to know one another personally, to listen to one another, to encourage and strengthen one another. We hope to foster cooperation and networking, broaden our knowledge and experience, reflect on our common activities and projects and plan steps that will lead us beyond this our actual conference.
