Since 150 years Holy Cross Sisters are in Croatia
The Croatian Province was founded in 1868 and celebrates its 150 years jubilee in these days. We wish God’s blessings and his guidance for this great jubilee!
On June 7, 1868, the first sisters travelled to Djakovo. In the spirit of the founders, Father Theodosius and Mother Maria Theresia, from the very beginning the Sisters were wholeheartedly dedicated to the education of children and young people in schools, boarding schools and kindergartens as well as taking care of the sick and elderly people, in the field of the social work and especially in the pastoral ministry. They are always open to translate the fresh needs of the times into the present-day situations.
