The Community was established in 1924.
Srijemska Mitrovica became the seat of the diocesan bishop of the Diocese of Srijem in 2021 and is a multinational and multi-religious city in Serbia. Only a small percentage of Catholics live there. The presence of our Congregation in this diaspora means a lot to the faithful. The sisters have lived in the present house since 1991. One of the two sisters is involved in the parish as an organist and choir directress and also teaches at a music school. She receives a great deal of support from another sister in the household and in the community.
This year marks the 100th year of our sisters’ ministry in Srijemska Mitrovica. During this long period, the sisters have worked in pastoral work, Caritas, in the hospital and in the music school
