The two communities in Gemünden
There are two communities in the convent of Gemünden: the local community and the community St. Elisabeth.
Between February 19th and February 27th both of these communities were visited.
Moreover, Sr. Lucila and Sr. Dorothee had the chance to see some of our establishments: Centre for Children and Youth, Remedial Day Care Centre, a Remedial Group for girls and two Day Care Centers with Kindergarten and Crèches, the Theodosius-Florentini-School (State Grammar School and middle school) and a boarding school as well as a “Day Home” (= an open day school).
Kloster Gemünden: the convent community and St. Elisabeth community
Offenstetten – Bavaria
Ever since 1946, our sisters have been working in the Cabrini-House, an establishment of the Catholic Youth Welfare of Regensburg. In this community there are nine sisters who, for more than thirty years, have considerably influenced the life of the establishment.
Offenstetten – Bayern
Georgenberg – Neukirchen St. Christoph is the oldest establishment of our sisters in the region of Bavaria. It has been in existence since September 1945.
It was one of the first places in which our sisters could open a sphere of activity after the expulsion of the Germans from the Sudetenland. There are three sisters living in the community who are very much appreciated and acknowledged for their various services in the parish.
