As scheduled, the shoes of Father Theodosius were brought from the Province of Slovakia to Croatia on 03 November 2015. From there it was handed over to the Sisters of the Italian Province on 27 November 2015. During the period from 03 November to 27 November 2015, the pair of shoes had “visited” almost all the communities of the Croatian province.
The main event took place in an international symposium on the 150th anniversary of the death of Father Theodosius Florentini, held on 14 November 2015. From Switzerland, Dr. Christian Schweizer (archivist of the Capuchin province in Lucerne) and Prof. Dr. Markus Ries (Professor of Church History at the Theological Faculty of Lucerne) came to partake. The participants from Croatia were Fr. Mirko Kemiveš OFMCap (Capuchin Varaždin), Prof. Dr. Ivica Raguž (Dean of the Catholic Theological Faculty of Đakovo), Prof. Dr. Vlatko Dugalić (Faculty of Catholic Theology Đakovo), Sr.M.Estera Radičević SCSC, (Đakovo) and Sr. Dr. Finka Tomas SCSC (Đakovo).
In addition to numerous local guests and the members of the group, which deals with the writings of the founders: Sr.M.Agnes Weber (Ingenbohl), Sr. Hildburg Baumgartner (Gemünden), Sr. Lucila Zovak, General Councilor and group leader were present. Through this symposium, for the first time the public in Croatia has been made acquainted with the life and work of Father Theodosius. Thus, the whole of November became a time of spiritual renewal and deepening.
