The Holy Cross Hindi medium school in Lalpur was founded more than 50 years ago. The sisters initially lived in the Burdwan convent and came to the school every day to teach. Their first convent was one of the classrooms, and later they built the Lalpur convent.
Currently, three sisters work in the school and one sister visits families and takes care of the garden. The sisters also enjoy being involved in the parish.
