Networking was one of the main topics at our General Chapter 2022. This prompted the European provinces to hold regular meetings at leadership level. After the first two meetings in Wels and Gaubing (March 2023) and Bratislava (October 2023), the Provincial Superiors and Assistants now came together in Hegne from 9-12 June 2024.
As always, the focus was on sharing and working on topics that affect all the Provinces. In an atmosphere of openness and mutual trust, the discussions were enriching and encouraging for everyone.
In addition to the work, the program also included a visit to the minor Basilica and the herbs garden on the island of Reichenau. A guided tour of the church and the conservatory brought 1300 years of history and living faith to life in the island’s jubilee year.
There was also a meeting with the leadership team of the Tree of Life Community (the Associates Community of the Province of Baden-Württemberg). This sharing was also interesting and beneficial – both for the Provinces, which are themselves on the journey with a ” Circle of Friends”, as well as for those where something similar could still be created.
