Some of the sisters are reaching out to others via telephone, especially keeping in contact with older people in our area who are alone at home. Because so many of us are older and at risk, we have limited direct service ministry that we can engage in.
Our efforts have been directed at supporting some of the local social service organizations and with financial contributions. With the help of donations that we receive, we can also support the pastoral work in the prison in Louisiana.
Some of our smaller gatherings in the local community can still happen. This allows some easing of the stress and worries that the pandemic brings.
