Private Hospital Hochrum GmbH

Privat Hospital Hochrum GmbH, the sanitarium of the Holy Cross Sisters, is a private hospital. The sanitarium comprises a hospital, a retirement home, a convalescing home and two houses for the staff.

Around 120 doctors treat an average of 2,000 people a year, both as inpatients and outpatients. The average duration of hospitalisation is 4 to 5 days. The commitment of the doctors is reflected in the many courses on the programme, which are well publicised in the media.

The hospital is under the management of Mr. Martin Witting. The medical director is Dr. Thomas Finsterwalder and the head of nursing Miriam Krautgasser. Mr. Witting attaches great importance to functioning as a ‘collegial management’. Dietbert Timmerer is responsible as property representative.

10 sisters aged 80+ and 90+ live in the convent. The ratio between the sisters and the nursing and care staff is getting smaller and smaller – at the moment it is 1:2.
