15 sisters live in the convent community. The sisters are involved in a variety of internal and external apostolates. For example, one sister has built up an Austrian-wide network to support poor families in Romania financially and with donations in kind. Another offers spiritual counselling and retreats. Several sisters provide services at the Rudigier retirement and care centre on the premises.
The Linz convent hosts events specific to the Upper Austrian region, such as religious feasts, sisters’ meetings, retreats, funerals in the Linz area, and other occasions.
Sisters from their own province who are temporarily staying in Linz benefit from the hospitality of the community. Linz is a favourite place for sisters from other countries to learn and improve their German.
In the afternoon we visited the Theresiengut, where people with disabilities can find a home. Whether young or old, there is an appropriate activity for everyone, which they carry out and display with pride.
