«Kick-off Meeting» SCSC Network against Human Trafficking
The continental leaders, Sr. Gabriella Légrádi – Middle Europe Province, Sr. Dhanam Mary – India South Province and Sr. Anna Affolter – General Councillor, met in Ingenbohl for a two days meeting to concretize and implement a new structure in the work against Human trafficking.
Over the past few years, a working group has done an important job in numerous meetings and Skype conferences, sharpening awareness within the Congregation about Human Trafficking. In the Provinces and Vicariates, there were co-ordinators to keep alive the concern of Human Trafficking operation and to participate in projects as far as possible or to set up their own initiatives.
For this purpose, a conference of the co-ordinators against Human Trafficking took place in the Mother house in Ingenbohl in September 2017 with the motto, “Standing up for human dignity”. With the implementation of the new structure of the SCSC Network, the work against Human Trafficking in our provinces and vicariates can be increasingly networked and updated.
