In the state of Manipur there are two communities: Thingba Khullen and Thingba Khunou. The people of these area are migrants from East Asia who initially came to Eastern states of Nagaland and later to interior villages of Manipur. They belong to Naga tribe. There is strong community spirit among them and the villages are animated by elected leaders. The village parishes have Holy Eucharist on alternative Sundays. Otherwise the services are conducted by catechists who are well trained to give directions to the community based on Gospel teachings. The main apostolate of the sisters is education besides health ministry and socio-pastoral works. In both places the sisters have accommodated 20 students each in small set ups, as coming from distant places to attend school is rather laborious.  The people consider the sisters as blessing and they make lot of sacrifices to make the stay of our sisters comfortable.
