The community was established on February 15, 1990, with a broad mission to undertake pastoral work, education, and healthcare initiatives in collaboration with the diocese of Bhagalpur. Specifically, the community aimed to provide spiritual guidance and support to the people through pastoral activities, offer quality education to children and adults alike, and deliver healthcare services to promote the overall well-being of individuals.
At present there are four sisters in the community. Two sisters are teaching in the Diocesan School, one sister is taking care of the dispensary and one sister is taking care of the house and garden. There are 48 children in the hostel. The children are well taken care of by the sisters.
