The three sisters in Santa Rita, a district on the outskirts of the three-million-city of Nova Iguaçu, consider themselves working in some areas of the parish. They direct children to organize their leisure time and provide spiritual guidance to young people. They accompany families, visit sick and elderly people. A circle of associates has formed around the community.
In Rio de Janeiro, all the dioceses have decided to make public prayers for peace in response to the difficult situation in the country. The two sisters who are doing the visitation, together with the community of Santa Rita, took part in the Prayer for Peace in Nova Iguaçu.
