Mid India Province, the youngest province of our congregation was erected on 14 September 2015, in the Jubilee Year of the 150th Death Anniversary of our founder, Fr. Theodosius Florentini.
The Province House is at Boriakhurd, Raipur in the state of Chhatisgarh. In the province, at the time of visitation there are 177 sisters engaged in diverse apostolates in 20 communities spread over three states namely Chhatisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
The General Visitation of the Mid India Province will take place from 17 October to 25 November 2017. Sr. Marja Brizar, Sr. Verena Maria Oberhauser, Sr. Elsit Ampattu and Sr. Sheeja Kolacherril will visit the sisters and get to know the situations of the provinces, communities, and the individual sisters in their own environment.
General visitation is also an opportunity to reflect and deepen our consecrated life as sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross in the church and in the world today.
The theme for the reflections, conversations and encounters is “Sharing life – strength for the way”. The General team joyfully look forward to meeting the sisters and to partake in their daily life situations.
