The General Visitation in the Vicariate Taiwan will take place from 15.02. – 06.03.2024. Sr. Marie-Marthe Schönenberger, Superior General and Sr. Gabriele Schachinger, General Assistant, will carry out the visitation in the six communities.
The Holy Cross Sisters have been working in the south-eastern part of Taiwan since 1955. After their expulsion from China, the Immensee Fathers asked the sisters to continue the mission in Taiwan together with them. The communities are all located in Taitung County, on the southeast coast of the China Sea. There are at present 23 sisters working in various areas, such as nursing and care for the elderly, pastoral work, caring for the disabled, children and youth work, etc.
