The General Visitation in the Province of Slovakia takes place from 24 April to 20 May.
Sr. Marija Brizar, Superior General, Sr. Elsit Ampattu, Sr. Lucila Zovak and Sr. Dorothee Halbach will visit 164 sisters during this time, to get to know their areas of work and community living, meet the in charges and employees and to come in touch with the Slovakian culture.
The Province house is in Trnava. The sisters live in 23 communities; two communities are in Romania. The sisters are particularly active in educational and pastoral work, in church services and in the care of the sick and the elderly.
The veneration of the blessed Zdenka Schelingová is a high priority in the Province of Slovakia. Blessed Zdenka touches the lives of many people and they seek consolation and strength for their daily lives from her.
The theme of this year’s visitation: “Sharing Life – Strength for the Way” is connected to the Vision of the Congregation. This is expressed in the discussions, encounters and in the prepared units.
May God’s blessings accompany those sisters who are visiting them and all the sisters of the Province during these weeks of Easter.
