Sr. Sheeja began the General Visitation in the community in Kolkata City, the place of St. Teresa of Missionaries of Charity Sisters and Rabindranath Tagore, one of the legends of India.
The visitation was in the midst of a grand Hindu festival called Durgapuja symbolizes the victory of good over evil by a goddess called Durga. The city was full of decorations. The folks played music when the devotees engaged in ritualistic worship.
The community with 3 sisters motivated Sr. Sheeja to have a live-in experience of this festival by visiting a few of these special locations. One of the sisters of the community is full time engaged in activities of Basic Ecclesial Church (BEC). The other two sisters are engaged in their Kindergarten school. The Children were on holidays.
