August 11, the feast of St. Clare, was dedicated to the theme of interculturality. Fr Xavier Manavath CMF, Claretian Priest from India, was invited to present his talk in the morning on the theme “Community – international, intercultural, prophetic”. The chapter members had already dealt with this topic intensively before the Chapter.
In his talk, Fr. Xavier in his first talk stressed about the basic requirements of religious life, then he spoke about creative fidelity, which is a fundamental attitude to face the challenges ahead. One of these is the need to live interculturality, which is more than just living internationality.
In the afternoon, the chapter members were invited to take up the theme again intensively in group work.
