Community in L’ubica

There are four sisters living in the community, which has existed since 1999. The people value the presence of the sisters and are grateful for the many services they provide for the local community and in the various fields of activity.

Two sisters work as nurses in the HOSPIC SV. ALZBETY. The hospice is one of four facilities in Slovakia that provides palliative care for terminally ill people and their relatives on their last journey of life. The third sister works in Caritas home care. She also cares for sick residents at the institute ‘Jesus – the High Priest’. In this centre, the homeless, formerly drug and alcohol addicted men and women are given a new home. The fourth sister looks after the household and the garden.

A special experience was the morning trip up to the High Tatras, where an ice sculpture exhibition is held every year. This year’s theme was Krakow Cathedral with St. Pope John Paul II.
