The community in Oberägeri was founded in 1970. The former ‘Christophorus House’ was renamed ‘St. Klara’. It is located on the shores of the beautiful Lake Ägeri. St. Klara is a holiday home for sisters, priests and other guests. Every year, around 400 guests come here to enjoy the warm hospitality of the sisters and the beautiful surroundings. Some sisters also use the house for retreats.
Three sisters currently live in the community. They work in the kitchen, do the housework, laundry and gardening. During the winter months, Sr. Manuela Gisler helps out at St. Anna in Ingenbohl.
