After the political changes of 1989 in the Czech Republic, the sisters were able to return from Choryně to their Provincial House in Kroměříž in 1993. Currently, 40 sisters aged between 34 and 92 live in the community. Most of the sisters are already retired, but still perform many small and large services for the Czech Province according to their abilities. In addition, they run a 68-bed retirement and nursing home in the provincial house, which is known far beyond Kromĕříž for its Christian character.
Three sisters work at the Archbishop’s grammar school and the church primary school.
The provincial house is also the official seat of the Provincial Superior, who, together with her team, is responsible for all matters concerning the sisters and the institutions.
The house is currently undergoing renovation due to fire safety regulations. Unfortunately, serious defects in the building have come to light during the preparatory work, as arbitrary alterations and installations were carried out in the house during the period of communist confiscation. Consequently, the sisters are currently living in various accommodation spread across the premises. They are keeping an eye on the ongoing building work with patience and a sense of humour.
