The sisters have been doing social and pastoral work in Belgahna and the surrounding villages since 2016. In 2021, they opened the English Medium Primary School, where children and young people are taught from Nursery Class to Primary 5. It was a pleasure for the visitators and guests to watch the various musical and dance performances. The dedication and enthusiasm of the kindergarten and primary school pupils was refreshing.
In contrast to other school locations, Holy Cross Primary School Belgahna does not have a hostel. Only ten girls from very poor backgrounds live with the sisters and can attend school free of charge.
Two sisters support women in remote villages with an income-generating program.
One sister looks after three social centers where children and young people from poor backgrounds receive after-school lessons and support. In addition, young people who are no longer able to attend school for various reasons can take computer courses. This gives them a chance of a better job.
