At the funeral service of Sr. Gertrud Furger we were all united in a special way with all the Holy Cross Sisters worldwide, with all the Provinces in Europe and in India, with all the Vicariates; Taiwan, Brazil and Uganda and with the House USA.
Sr Gertrud was responsible for the destiny of the congregation and the field of activity of the sisters.
For the twelve Provinces, the three vicariates and the House USA, 16 roses were laid at Sr. Gertrude’s grave as a sign of gratitude and solidarity.
During the Eucharist celebration Constitutions were brought to the altar: Sr. Gertrude recognized a great richness in the diversity of peoples and cultures and supported the uniqueness of each Province.
God, bless all the Sisters of the Holy Cross, let the seed grow that Sr. Gertrude sowed personally and worldwide in her life.
