Holy Cross Bartua is a Mission station of the Province started some 45 years back in an interior village surrounded by houses of the village, Mountains and wild animals like elephants in the forest which some times destroy the houses and property of the people. Initially the sisters engaged in Pastoral works and visiting the families. There are three sisters and a pre Postulant living a simple life style corresponding to that of the people of this area. As the need required to educate the childrens of the near and far villages a school was put up 15 years back. There is good collaboration and support in areas of life and mission even though they are not devoid of challenges. The sisters do what lies in their power day after day.
