Balupar Community, Patna, 08 -11 November 2024

The land was purchased in 2007, the impoverished existing building renovated and at the end of October 2007 the community ‘Asha Sadan Holy Cross Convent’ was founded with the purpose of having a place for the elderly and sick sisters. After the old building did not meet the requirements for nursing care for the sisters, the foundation stone for a new house next to the old building was laid in 2010 and was inaugurated on 16 June 2013. In the meantime, the old house has also been replaced by a new one.

Today, 18 sisters live here, 2 of them are bedridden, 5 junior sisters, 4 of them are studying, and 2 candidates for community experiences.

The sisters are well looked after by our own sisters and employees, both in nursing care and in the kitchen, house and garden, so that the sisters can spend their evening of life peacefully. They are a valuable treasures for the province and the entire congregation, whom they support with their prayers.
