The feast day of our blessed foundress Mother Maria Theresia Scherer was celebrated with much joy. Sisters from almost all communities were present at the celebration in the Vicariate House.
The group “Vivendo e Aprendendo”, together with the artist Jasi Pereira from the parish, had depicted the life of Mother Maria Theresa using various artistic styles over the past few weeks. The women, aged between 50 and 93, proudly explained their works of art.
Due to the busy schedule of Dom Sérgio da Rocha, Cardinal of the Archdiocese of San Salvador, the feast mass celebration could only take place in the evening. He spoke about the importance of Caritas for the people and the Church in powerful yet gracious words.
Late in the evening, those who wanted to and enjoyed themselves joined in a short dance. And so ended this unforgettable festive day for us.
