Tinconma in Bihar
A very remote village and a population with little hope for any development. Already 30 years ago, some Evangelization was attempted in the villages of this area and efforts were made to explain parents the necessity of schooling and education.
Today, the sisters are engaged as teachers in school and also in socio – pastoral activities.
Most people live by the produce of their fields and the keeping of some animals. Social life is marked by the Caste System. Child marriage, alcohol as well as superstition, in addition to this, poor health and low average age, are the great concerns of the sisters.
