{"id":3288,"date":"2016-05-18T16:47:30","date_gmt":"2016-05-18T14:47:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.scsc-ingenbohl.org\/?p=3288"},"modified":"2016-05-12T11:54:55","modified_gmt":"2016-05-12T09:54:55","slug":"general-visitation-in-the-usa-province","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scsc-ingenbohl.org\/en\/general-visitation-in-the-usa-province\/","title":{"rendered":"General Visitation in the USA Province"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=&#8221;3292&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][vc_column_text]Sr. Marija Brizar, superior general and Sr Dorothee Halbach will be visiting the USA province from 19th May to 14th June 2016.<br \/>\nThe theme of the visitation: \u201cGive expression to the tender Mercy of God\u201d\u00a0 is inspired by the \u201cYear of Mercy\u201d proclaimed by Pope Francis.<br \/>\nPersonal conversation with the individual sisters, visits, units of sharing and discussion with the sisters in Merrill, Green Bay and Metairie in the State of Louisiana will concretize the chosen theme and bring it into relation with the given local situation.<br \/>\nThe USA province, with the provincial house in Merrill, was founded in 1954. As early as March 1912 the first six sisters took up their service in a hospital in North Dakota. The history of the hundred years\u2019 presence of our sisters there from 1912 to 2012 is an impressive witness to their dedication and variegated engagement.<br \/>\nIn spite of their advanced age and the lack of new members, our 27 sisters get involved in various activities according to their possibilities, and strife to give lively and creative answers to the questions of our time. A group of associates came into being years ago. They share the charism of our sisters and try to live it in the reality of their everyday life.<br \/>\nDuring the time of the visitation, the annual \u201cprovincial gathering\u201d will take place as well. This gathering lasts several days &#8211; from 6th to 10th June \u2013 and deals with questions and issues of the province.
