At this place of pilgrimage, three sisters look after the churches and the pilgrimage site, welcome groups of pilgrims, tourists, students and experts from all over the world, and provide accommodation for the St. James pilgrims on their way.

Kájov is located in the mission territory of the former Sudetenland, which is why pastoral care and evangelization are also important here: visiting the sick, pastoral care for seniors and children, religious education, support for parish life, and collaboration with Caritas Český Krumlov. Since there are few priests, the presence of sisters is vital—they offer people opportunities for encounter and conversation during difficult life situations and regarding questions of faith. This is a place that has been deeply linked in history to the violent expulsion of the German population and the subsequent resettlement. Therefore, a very important task here is to pray for reconciliation and to work toward reconciliation between peoples, including through encounters with many pilgrims from Germany and Austria.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[11,18

post-23670","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news-en","category-visitations
["GET
