The area is a tribal belt, with the Kharia tribe forming the majority. The people are simple and hardworking, though many are illiterate and poor.<\/p>\n<p>There are four sisters working in the school. The school is up to the 10th grade, with about 650 children and 20 teachers. It is a recognized school; Classes 1 to 5 are government-aided, and the students receive all the benefits provided by the government. About 95% of the students are Catholics. The sisters and teachers are dedicated and hardworking, and as a result, the students achieve good academic results.<\/p>\n<p>There are 22 children in the hostel. From Katukona, there are 10 sisters in our congregation.
