The photos witness to the joy of all the participants in this feast. It was a feast of thanks for God\u2019s help and accompaniment, a feast of marveling at His wonderful work. Many sisters had been messengers of mercy and compassion in these 100 years of service to the sick.<\/p>\n<p>General superior, Sister Marija Brizar, in her address expressed her gratitude and her appreciation towards the sisters who, in this hospital, had dedicated their lives for the wellbeing of the poor through the healing ministry in MJK hospital. She appreciated their daring spirit, sacrificial love and trust and confidence in the Lord that enabled them to venture into the unknown.<\/p>\n<p>Sr. Marija felicitated the sisters who rendered many years of their service at MJK hospital and those who yet continue by presenting them memento. She also expressed words of appreciation and gratitude towards all our collaborators in the mission, for their encouraging presence, generosity, cooperation and support.<\/p>\n<p>Provincial Superior Sr. Valsa Thottiyil mentioned in her address, \u201cToday, with this special gathering, we are celebrating the centenary, a centenary of finely tuned Compassion; in the service of God\u2019s beloved people in Bettiah and beyond. The hand of the Lord has been present from the beginnings to what we are today. We feel proud of our pioneers who set an example through their sincere, dedicated and committed life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The whole celebration was a loud recognition for the sisters who dared to venture into an unknown land, 100 years ago and their passion and inner stamina to reach out to the people in their pain and suffering.
