Over the decades, change and transformation have taken place here in the spirit of ‘The need of the time …’. St Anthony’s House was built in 1899 by the parish priest Dr. Joseph Häusle as a housekeeping school and retreat house. In 1945, the bombed and completely destroyed house was handed over to the Capuchin Province, who built a student hostel. In 1972, the Sisters of the Holy Cross bought the house back from the Capuchins and set up a kindergarten as a training centre for kindergarten classes.

On 18 November 2012, the blessing ceremony was held for the NEW Antoniushaus as a house of generations.
