The sisters are also involved in the parish work and in catechesis. The prospective teachers attend the PPTT for two years. Practical relevance is emphasized so that the young women can complete several months of teaching practice.<\/p>\n<p>Around 1,250 students are taught in Holy Cross School from Nursery School to Plus Two. The school is known for its wide range of leisure and sports activities. Students often achieve top results in regional and national competitions. The school is very popular in Indore and the surrounding area. The demand for admissions is greater than the seats available. Nevertheless, the sisters accept children and young people from low-income families every year. It is their wish to provide these children with a good education and a good future.\u00a0In a meeting with the teaching staff, there was also an interesting exchange about the similarities and differences between the education systems in Switzerland and India.<\/p>\n<p>Indore describes itself as the cleanest city in India. It is also known for its various parks and markets. A highlight was the visit to the famous <em>Kamala Nehru Park<\/em>, a zoological\u00a0<em>park<\/em>\u00a0on the outskirts of\u00a0<em>Indore<\/em>\u00a0that is home to exotic carnivores.
