The beginning of the new Province was marked by great poverty, nevertheless the number of Sisters in the Provincial house grew steadily.\u00a0 On 22 August 1950, the Provincial house was dissolved and the Sisters were deprived of everything they had built up over so many years.<\/p>\n<p>In 1968 (&#8220;Prague Spring&#8221;) the Sisters returned to Slovakia. The buildings in Podunajske Biskupice were then used for tuberculosis patients.<\/p>\n<p>In 2017, long after the end of the communist regime, the buildings in Podunajske Biskupice were returned to the sisters. On 19 November 2018, construction and renovation began for the elderly sisters.
