Fatuha is situated near the confluence of the Ganges and Punpun rivers, historically making it a significant location for trade and commerce. Located 30 kilometers from Patna, Fatuha is blessed with proximity to the Ganges, a national highway, and a nearby railway station. It is a semi-industrial area. Nearly 50% of the population are Dalits, who live in poverty and ignorance. Many residents are affected by floods nearly every year. In front of our convent, there are about 500 small houses built and provided to Dalits by the Government. There is still a need to raise awareness about education, healthcare, child marriage, dowry, and other social issues.
At present there are 6 sisters in the community. One nurse sister takes care of the dispensary, another sister is responsible for home administration, another sister contributes with various services in the house and also helps in the dispensary and one sister is interested in taking care of the pet animals.
