The General Visitation will take place in Mid India Province from 16 November to 10 December 2023.
Sr. Marie-Marthe Schönenberger, Superior General, Sr. Sheeja Kolacherril, Sr. Gabriele Schachinger, Sr. Roseline Kujur, Sr. Pratima Minj and Sr. Rahela Lacković will conduct the visitation in the Province.
In 2015, the Mid India Province, with its headquarter in Raipur, emerged as the fourth Province of the Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross in India, following its bifurcation from the Central Province, Hazaribag. The Provincial Residence is strategically located in Raipur, the vibrant capital of Chhattisgarh. This Province encompasses three states: Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
Comprising a dedicated group of 174 sisters, along with 33 formees in the formative stages the Mid India Province plays a vital role in serving communities across six Dioceses. Through the efforts of the sisters, the Province has established its presence in 21 communities which are actively contributing to the well-being and development of the regions they serve through various ministries like Education, Vocational Training, Education for Special Children, Health care, Socio pastoral works, care of the disabled etc.
